Terms and conditions

Short and in plain language: what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated 6 October 2026

Who this is between

These terms are between you and Monster Foundry, the maker of this game. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the game.

This is a beta

The game is unfinished and is offered as it is. Things will break, balance will change, and the beta can end. We may reset progress while we build towards a stable version, and we will announce that on the updates page before we do it.

Playing without an account

You can play as a guest, up to level 10. Your progress is then kept only in your browser: clearing it or switching to another browser loses it, and we cannot restore it. Create an account in the same browser and your progress moves into it.

Your account

  • One account per person.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account counts as done by you.
  • You must be 16 or older to play.
  • You can close your account whenever you like, by writing to us.

How to play, and how not to

While you are in the vale, do not:

  • use scripts, bots or anything else that plays for you;
  • attack the site, its servers or other players, or try to reach data that is not yours;
  • farm a bug instead of reporting it, once you know it is a bug;
  • sell or trade your account, or buy game items for real money outside the game;
  • post anything in a report or a form that is unlawful, hateful or someone else's private information.

If you break these, we may suspend or remove your account. For anything less than an attack on the service, we will tell you why first.

What is in the game stays in the game

Gold, items, levels and anything else you gather have no value outside the game and are not your property. We may change, reset or remove them. Nothing in the beta costs real money, and the diamonds in the game are earned, not bought.

Your words and our art

The game, its art, its text and its code are ours. Bug reports and feedback you send us we may use to improve the game, free of charge; you keep the rights to what you wrote, and we will not publish your name without asking.

What we do not promise

The game may be down, lose progress or behave in ways we did not intend. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage that follows from using a free, unfinished game. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything else the law will not let us limit.

Changes

We may change these terms as the game grows. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the updates page carries a note when something meaningful moves.

Which law applies

The law of the Netherlands applies. Questions, complaints or a request to close your account go to registration@monsterfoundry-mmo.com.
